Raw cacao truffles

These crowd-pleasing little guys are totally raw, totally natural, and totally decadent. Serve them at a dinner party and your guests will rave. Or make a small batch and stash them in the fridge for a sweet treat during the week. They take only five minutes to prepare!

Ingredients

1 cup of almond meal (you can also use any other nuts or hemp protein) + 1/4 cup for optional garnish*
1 cup of cacao powder
3 tablespoons of raw honey
2 tablespoons of water
4 tablespoons of almond or cashew butter

Preparation

In a bowl mix the cacao powder and 1 cup of almond meal together
Add the honey and water and stir
Add 4 tablespoons of almond or cashew butter
Mix it together for a marble affect and then roll into balls

If you want to get a little fancy, roll the finished balls in the left over ground almonds for a feathery garnish.

*NB I didn't have almond meal on hand, so I grinded a handful of raw almonds into a fluffy powder
